It was the summer of 2006. Satan herself, brooding in Hell and furious with the pathetic state of her prize creation - Heavy Metal Music - sent off a pair of her vilest minions to the terrestrial realm to seek and destroy false metal. Frontman Karl “Axe n’ Smash” Warkentin and guitarist Adrian Riff had but one mission: to form a band and help save Heavy Metal. After months of tireless searching, 3 worthy companions were found, and EVIL SURVIVES was formed.

EVIL SURVIVES first performed in June 2008 - by no coincidence...but fate! - outside of an Iron Maiden concert in their home town of Winnipeg. Less than a month later, they entered the studio to record their debut full length album entitled Metal Vengeance. Released exclusively on vinyl on by Canadian label “War on Music”, their eight track debut won the hearts and minds of the NWOBHM fans lucky enough to be in the know. On the heels of a growing renown, EVIL SURVIVES were right back in studio by the end of 2009 to record their second full length album, entitled Powerkiller. Mixed entirely analog, the master reels contained over 40 minutes of driving NWOBHM worship, sounding like 1985-2009 never even happened. Again released by War on Music on vinyl LP and limited edition cassette, Powerkiller caught the attention of New York metal merchants HEAVY ARTILLERY RECORDS who will be releasing the album on CD and digitally on October 12th 2010.

By night, the members of EVIL SURVIVES live out their duties as metal-slaves of Satan, but by day they are little more than 5 typical IRON MAIDEN / MERCYFUL FATE obsessed metal heads. Touring non-stop across Canada and beyond, Evil Survives quickly gained a reputation as a dazzling live act, with piercing croons, guitar heroics, shotgun bass, and wild antics. Taking the torch from those who came before them, EVIL SURVIVES are positioned to become a leading force for the fight for the rightful return of Heavy Metal… and the execution of false metal everywhere.
